Russia’s Gazprom-Media has launched a new national sports channel.
Known as Match! Strana, it made its debut on March 2 with coverage of the XX1X Winter Universiade 2019 in Krasnoyarsk and is available in both SD and HD to a potential 80 million people aged from 6-70.
Aside from being broadcast in major cities, the channel is distributed via cable and satellite throughout the country.
It can also be viewed on the matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru sites, as well as Match!Klub.
Match! Strana, is fully devoted to sport and its development in Russia and will show around 3,000 hours of live broadcasts each year, along with some 4,400 hours of special reviews, digests and recorded broadcasts.
