Netflix is testing the opinions of some of its customers in Poland on the introduction of higher prices.
According to Wirtualne Media, only new customers have noticed these prices, with existing ones who would like to change their package still seeing the old ones.
Furthermore, they have noticed that the prices differ depending on which type of device the price sheet is opened on.
In response, Netflix has told the Polish media that the new prices are only being shown on a test basis in order to gauge customers’ opinions.
Under them, its Standard package would cost PLN43 (€9.97) rather than the current PLN43 and the Premium package increased from PLN52 to PLN65.
Broadband TV News notes that there have also been reports of Netflix undertaken such a trial in Italy.
Netflix has been present in Poland for three years and is now one of the country’s most popular SVOD services.
