UPC has made an additional five HD channels available to its customers in Poland.
The channels in question – Metro HD, Nowa TV HD, WP HD, Zoom TV HD and TVP Sport HD – have been placed in the basic unencrypted digital package Start.
This now consists of 34 channels, 23 of which are in HD. The latter figure is thanks to 15 channels previously available in SD having been upgraded to the HD standard.
UPC Polska notes that the subscription fee has not being increased as a result of the new channels being introduced to the Start package.
