Pirate on demand services are being less used in Poland, with viewers increasingly willing to pay for legal content.
According to data from Gemius/PBI produced for Wirtualne Media, zalukaj.com, the most watched, had 2,394,731 users in January, down from 2,883,904 in the same month last year. Its opens stood at 112,738,218 (133,280,185) and reach at 8.37% (10.30%).
Meanwhile, ekinomaniak.tv, the third most watched, had 539,751 (734,408) users, 9,967,021 (9,211,382) opens and a reach of 1.89% (2.62%).
One newcomer, fili.cc, claimed the second most watched position, with 1,252,342 users.
A particularly interesting stat is that six most popular pirate sites had a combined reach of 19.65% in January, compared to 30.42% in January 2014.
This trend has coincided with the growth in popularity of legal on demand services in Poland, with the market leaders now being Cda.pl and Netflix.
