Volia offers viewer analysis

February 18, 2019 07.35 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Ukraine’s leading cable operator Volia has provided an insight into its viewers’ TV channel preferences.

Drawing on research undertaken in January, it shows that the top five were the national services 1+1, ICTV, Ukraina, Novij and Inter, while its proprietary channel Volia Cine+ was in the top 30.

The most favoured genres were documentary, film, entertainment and information channels, with Discovery topping the documentary, Kino film, Mega entertainment and 112 Ukraina information lists.

Volia says the data was prepared looking at digital TV reception equipment used in more than 20 cities in which the population exceeds 50,000.

It involved over 35,000 households that receive Volia’s offer, which currently consists of over 200 channels.
