The Slovak DTH platform Antik Sat has added 12 HD channels to its offer, which now has 38 in the format.
According to Parabola, all 12 channels – Doma HD, Joj Plus HD, TA3 HD, Wau HD, Lux HD, AMC HD, Sport 1 HD, Barrandov HD, CT24 HD, CT2 HD, Prima Cool HD and Prima Zoom HD – were previously available only in SD.
It adds that the channels, which use MPEG-4 compression, are shared with Orange TV.
However, the two platforms employ different conditional access systems, with Antik Sat opting for Conax and Orange TV favouring Irdeto.
Only one of the 12 HD channels (CT24 HD) is broadcast unencrypted.
