Discovery has appointed Elena Anniballi in the newly created position of Senior Scheduling Director, Male Brands UK.
Anniballi leads the scheduling strategy for flagship Discovery Channel, and free-to-air brands Quest and Dmax; alongside pay TV brands Science, Turbo, Discovery History, Shed and Travel Channel.
She brings a wealth of experience to the role, joining from A+E Networks UK where she was Channel Director for male-skewing free-to-air factual channel Blaze. In a previous role at A&E she was responsible for the scheduling team managing History, H2, Lifetime and CI.
Prior to A&E, Anniballi spent ten years at UKTV as Programme Manager for female-skewing free-to-air entertainment channel Really, and in various senior scheduling roles. She began her career at MTV Networks UK & Europe, before moving to Channel 4 where she managed the audience research needs for E4 and Film4.
She is based in London and reports to Simon Downing, SVP, Head of Factual and Sport.
He commented, “We are delighted to welcome Elena to Discovery. She brings fantastic experience of building pay TV and free-to-air brands and has an impressive track record. Her innovative editorial approach and commercial mindset will be invaluable as we accelerate the growth of our male brands across all platforms.”
