The President of the newly combined Tele2 says there are more synergies to come following the Swedish challenger telco’s merger with Com Hem.
Anders Nilsson said the estimate of savings had now been raised from SEK 900 million to SEK 1,350 million annually.
“We also aim to deliver this faster than previously expected, now within three years instead of five, and half to be realized by the end of 2019 on a run rate basis. In addition to improving profitability, these structural changes will help create a more agile and efficient organization that can move quickly and adapt to changing market environments and shifts in technology.”
Nilsson added there was further opportunity for synergies through network, IT and brand portfolio.
Already Com Hem has added mobile telephony to its portfolio.
Com Hem reported 2018 revenues of SEK 29,761 million.
