RTL Nederland appoints Peter van der Vorst

February 12, 2019 10.03 Europe/London By Robert Briel

RTL Nederland has appointed Peter van der Vorst as its Content and Marketing Director as of 1 March.

He will have final responsibility for all forms of content on RTL’s channels and digital consumer platforms, such as RTL XL and Videoland. He is also responsible for the marketing of the content.

“We have been working very successfully with Peter as presenter and producer for years. Peter knows the full spectrum of programme making, both in front of and behind the scenes. Time and again he shows that he has a good sense of the themes that play a role in society and he translates these insights into wonderful programmes,” said CEO of RTL, Sven Sauvé.

“Moreover, he has a clear and inspiring vision on the development of the media landscape. If you add that to his entrepreneurship and courage to innovate, he is the perfect person to strengthen the bridge to our fans. I am very happy that he has made the choice to join our management team.

RTL is the most beautiful and versatile media company in the Netherlands. Programmes and drama series are really made here with heart and soul. I look forward to using the knowledge and experience I have gained over the past 25 years as a presenter and producer as Content and Marketing Director,” said Peter van der Vorst.

“It is an enormous honour and challenge to be responsible for all channels and online platforms, including Videoland, in these turbulent media times. I look forward to working with the great content team. I believe that together we can respond even better to the needs of the Dutch viewer.

Van der Vorst has worked for RTL for over 25 years, both as producer and presenter.
