The Lithuanian Radio and Television Commission (LRTK) has issued a warning to First Baltic Channel Lietuva for violating the country’s Law on Public Information.
In a statement, it says that having met on January 30 to discuss a programme aired on the channel earlier in the month, it concluded that a violation had taken place.
It adds that it was the first such violation in a year and if further ones occur it will temporarily prohibit the free reception of the channel in Lithuania.
The regulator adds that NTV Mir Lithuania has also violated the country’s legislation in a programme in aired on January 20.
The channel has already been suspended twice in one year and faces a further temporary suspension if a similar case is detected.
