Vit Vazan has been appointed the new CEO of the Czech national transmission company CRA.
He replaces Martin Gebauer, who has held the position for eight years and will leave the Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA) business in Central and Eastern Europe.
Vazan, who is currently the CFO at CRA, joined the transmission company in 2014, having previously been the CFO and executive director at CET 21, the licence owner of TV Nova, the Czech Republic’s leading broadcaster. Prior to that, he worked for Vodafone and PwC.
Commenting on the appointment, Jiri Zrust, chairman of the board at CRA, said: “In the last four years, Vit Vazan, as CFO, has worked with Martin Gebauer on the major transformation of the company. We are very pleased that Vit will lead the CRA to the next stage of growth, with the support of an experienced management team”.
