The Czech incumbent O2 saw its TV customer total increase by over 34% in 2018.
In its latest set of results, the company says that the number receiving its fixed-line (IPTV) and OTT services at year’s end stood at 335,000, of who over 40,000 subscribed to the complementary MULTIservice, which allows customers to watch TV on multiple sets at once.
It adds that customers are granted up to four free of charge licences to each tariff enabling them to watch the complete O2 TV content on the web or in mobile applications.
About 420,000 viewers used this opportunity on a regular basis in 2018, including customers of O2 TV Sport Pack package.
As of the end of 2018, O2 already had 758,000 O2 TV active accesses.
The group, which also has a presence in Slovakia, had operating revenues of CZK37,996 million (€1.477 million) in 2018, up 0.8% on the previous year.
Its EBITDA was CZK11,163 million (+6.2%) and net profit CZK5,448 million (-2.5%).
