YouTube TV, the streaming OTT service from. Google, is going ‘nationwide’ in the US reaching the Top 95 markets, or around 98% of the population.
YouTube TV offers cable-free live TV and includes over 60 networks, such as ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC. Plus, cable networks such as TNT, TBS, CNN, ESPN, FX and on-demand programming.
A cloud PVR with no storage space limits. This enables subscribers to record live TV and never run out of storage space. Also, viewers can record shows simultaneously without using data or space on your device. The ability to watch YouTube TV on any screen – mobile devices, tablets, computers and TVs.
Six accounts per household. Every YouTube TV membership comes with six accounts, each with its own unique recommendations and a personal PVR with no storage space limits.
Half the cost of cable with zero commitments. A YouTube TV membership costs $40 a month and can be cancelled anytime.
While Google has not disclosed subscriber numbers for YouTube TV since it launched in early 2017, the service reportedly increased from around 300,000 paying subscribers in January 2018 to 800,000 in July.
Currently, there are no plans to roll out the streaming OTT Services internationally.
