Dutch cable operator Ziggo is replacing the domestic TRT 1 channel with TRT Turkey’s international channel, TRT Türk,
Reason for the swap is the fact that TRT 1 is a domestic channel intended for Turkey and not all rights for all programmed are cleared for international redistribution.
On February 1, Ziggo is also stopping distribution of three thematic channels, Food Network, Fine Living, and Travel Channel, because these channels are terminating their Dutch feed. These changes will also affect other Dutch distribution partners including KPN.
Earlier this year, Ziggo also stopped distributing AMC, as the channel stopped broadcasting its Benelux feed.
