AMC Networks International – Central and Northern Europe (AMCNI CNE) and United Group have renewed a multi-year agreement for carriage of the former’s channels on cable and DTH platforms in the Balkans.

As part of the agreement, AMC, Minimax and CBS Reality are available in the digital basic cable package of Serbia Broadband in Serbia and Telemach’s digital basic packages in Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro. AMC, Minimax, CBS Reality and JimJam are being offered to DTH subscribers via Total TV in Serbia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Slovenia. Extreme Sports Channel, JimJam and SundanceTV are placed in the Digital EBS package.

Commenting on the development, Balázs Hajós, VP of affiliate sales, AMCNI CNE, said: “We’re excited to renew our long-term partnership with United Group to make our channels available widely to consumers across the Balkans.

“We’re committed to offering audiences an extensive range of award-winning programming, and this agreement will ensure that viewers across the region can enjoy our acclaimed line-up of channels for many years to come.”

United Group added: “We’re delighted to renew our agreement with AMC Networks International – Central and Northern Europe to offer our customers a diverse range of series, specials, documentaries and films.

“We’re confident our subscribers will enjoy the breadth of entertainment these channels offer, and we look forward to providing many exciting new and exclusive premieres to audiences in the months ahead.”
