STV is to add its VOD service STV Player onto Virgin TV set-top boxes.
It follows the four-year strategic partnership between STV and Virgin Media announced earlier this year.
Both the STV Player app and catch-up TV programme will be available on set-top boxes will be available in time for the final of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! and the forthcoming Christmas schedule.
STV content will typically be available for 30 days. All catch-up content will be available in HD and straight from the EPG.

“Launching STV Player on this popular platform means Virgin Media customers in Scotland can access their favourite STV shows however and whenever they want, from I’m a Celebrity to Scotland Tonight to our ever-popular soaps, Coronation Street and Emmerdale.”

Local HD versions for Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee will replace the current pan-Scotland HD version of STV early in the new year.
