Poland’s TVN has closed TVN24 International, a news-based channel aimed principally at the Polish diaspora and broadcast in both Polish and English.
Quoting a statement from the TVN and Discovery Polska press office, Wirtualne Media reports that the move followed consultations with its international partners.
The statement added that TVN still makes the proprietary channels iTVN and iTVN Extra available to viewers outside the country.
TVN24 International was launched last year and overseen by Scripps Media Luxembourg, a subsidiary of Scripps Networks Interactive, now owned by Discovery Communications.
