The customers of waipu.tv accessing the German internet TV platform via Amazon Fire TV can now use Amazon Alexa as the remote control.
The Alexa skill enables viewers to navigate through live TV channels via voice control on the TV set for the first time worldwide, according to waipu.tv.
The Alexa skill, which can be activated in the user’s waipu.tv account, covers for example turning on TV channels, changing channels, live pausing, volume adjustment and accessing programme information. Further functions like recording programmes and viewing recordings will be added soon.
