Albtelecom currently has over 85,000 triple-play customers, according to Kliton Proko, the company’s business development director.
Speaking in a panel discussion at Nextv Series conference in Berlin, he also said that between 36,000-37,000 receive double-play services.
Proko revealed that there is little difference between double and triple play ARPU as they amount to €10 and €12.8-13 respectively. An increasing number of customers sign up for just broadband and then move up to triple-play.
There are currently 620,000 pay-TV subscribers in Albania and two major pay-TV platforms.
Albtelecom has worked with both and is currently considering creating its own programme packages and adding VOD to them.
