Netgem launches next generation smart TV service

November 28, 2018 18.33 Europe/London By Julian Clover

Netgem has officially launched its next generation smart TV service. The app-based system will be available for iOS/Android bundled and is bundled with a combined Freeview and 4K media streamer, the NetBox 4K.

Some 50,000 hours of content will be made available with access to over 100 live Freeview channels plus access to leading streaming platforms like Amazon Prime Video, YouTube 4K and Rakuten TV.

Sylvain Thevenot, Managing Director of netgem.tv says: “Whether you are time-poor family parents wanting to follow your favourite series without having to look for content inside multiple Apps, or you are a teenager wanting to watch the latest reality TV show in your bedroom, or simply accessing the recorded News on your tablet, we have reinvented TV with a simple, affordable, and personalised multiscreen TV service.”

The NetBox features 4K HDR and Dolby Atmos; recordings can also be made to a USB memory stick.

The NetBox 4K device bundled with the netgem.tv personalised experience service will launch first in the UK and will be available to purchase from 28th November via Amazon at a retail price of £149.

The netgem.tv service is also included in bundles by many UK service providers, including Three, Jersey Telecom, Voneus and Pure Fibre.
