The Czech incumbent O2 has become the first company in the world to launch AR Wi-Fi.
In a statement, it says the service was developed by its experts, led by Ondrej Sebelik and Roman Bacik, and quotes the latter, O2 Czech’s product manage, as saying: “We are the first internet provider in the world to create this feature and offer it to its customers. As is the case with O2 Smart Box, we continue with the tradition of developing applications and devices on our own”.
The new feature allows users to simply see how good a Wi-Fi signal is in different locations in their homes.
It requires a supported mobile device and the current version of the O2 Smart Box installed.
