SpotX hires Annelie Jegefalk for the Nordics

November 21, 2018 16.23 Europe/London By Robert Briel

SpotX has appointed Annelie Jegefalk as Supply Operations Manager.

Bringing six years of digital advertising experience from Discovery, Jegefalk will work with publishers and broadcasters across the Nordics to develop their video advertising strategies. This will include offering supply-side products such as modern ad serving, monetisation, yield management and a range of programmatic revenue optimisation tools including private marketplaces and Curated Marketplaces. She will work across the full SpotX and smartclip product suite including addressable linear TV advertising.

Before joining SpotX, Jegefalk managed the programmatic business for Discovery in Sweden where she had a range of responsibilities across video and display advertising including directing technical integrations, creating and troubleshooting deals and managing buyer relationships. Prior to this, Jegefalk worked for Discovery in their London headquarters and was Senior Scheduler at SBS Broadcasting before that.

Jonas Rundgren, Managing Director, SpotX and smartclip, Nordics comments, “Annelie Jegefalk has a unique perspective and outstanding knowledge of video advertising gleaned from her time at Discovery. Over the past six years, she has built a strong skill set in programmatic advertising as well as nuanced understanding of the markets in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland. This will be invaluable as she supports broadcasters, publishers and other media owners across the Nordics in driving more revenue for their businesses.”

“Video is a very exciting area of growth within advertising and SpotX and smartclip continue to lead in this market with their specialised solutions,” added Annelie Jegefalk.

“The role of Supply Operations Manager appealed to me as it will allow me to work across an advanced product suite for video and TV advertising in a global and collaborative environment that SpotX and smartclip are renowned for.”

SpotX is in the process of merging its business operations with smartclip to offer Total Video advertising technology and monetisation infrastructure to broadcasters and media owners around the world. More than 40 percent of the combined company’s revenue is now generated outside the US with 220 staff located in Europe. In August, a new management team was appointed to oversee all aspects of SpotX’s business in Europe, including the merger.
