New roles for Bogdan Bucurei, Jerzy Golebiowski at UPC Polska

November 19, 2018 09.28 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Poland’s leading cable operator UPC Polska has strengthened its management team with the appointment of Bogdan Bucurei as its CMO.

At the same time, Jerzy Golebiowski, a long-term member of the management board responsible for the company’s strategy, is now also its B2B director.

The changes came into effect on November 15 and both executives will report directly to Robert Redeleanu, the president of UPC Polska.

Commenting on the changes, Redeleanu said: “1 am very happy that both Bogdan Bucurei and Jerzy Golebiowski agreed to take up new positions in the management team. I believe that their knowledge and many years of experience will contribute to an increase in the number of customers and further raise their satisfaction and accelerate the development of our company”.

Bucurei will be responsible for marketing communication, customer value management, offers, products and market research. Before joining UPC Polska, he was UPC’s head of customer propositions and content in the CEE region. He joined UPC Romania in 2010 and was responsible for product management. He became a member of the board and the marketing director in 2015.

Bucurei has worked in the telco industry since 2001 and also held positions at Vodafone and Telekom Romania.

Meanwhile, Golebiowski has been a member of the management board at UPC Polska since 2007. During his career at UPC, he has been the director of development and was responsible for the company’s strategy, development, mergers and acquisitions. Recently, he also took over the function of the director of UPC development in the CEE region.

Before joining UPC, he worked for Netia and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
