New distribution deals for Motorvision TV

November 12, 2018 14.51 Europe/London By Julian Clover

Motorvision TV says its signed new distribution deals in 14 different countries.

The motorsport channel has signed agreements in the Nordics, Benelux, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Gibraltar and the Balkans.

“The demand for high-quality automotive and motorsports content is bigger than ever before and the newly agreed distribution deals show the high appreciation that Motorvision TV and its content enjoys around the world,” said Raimund Koehler, CEO, Motorvision Group.

Among the platforms now distributing the channel are Telenor’s Canal Digital, which is including Motorvision in the Family package to homes in Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway. It’s also been added to the TV Flex and TV Stor packages on Telenor Sweden’s CATV/IPTV network.

In Sweden there’s a new deal with cable TV provider Sappa, in Finald Elisa becomes the third distribution partner in the country, while Denmark’s YouSee will add Motorvision to its a la carte and flex packages.

In Austria, Motorvision has been added to the country’s largest operator Liwest.

Belgium’s Proximus has also signed and will carry Motorvision as part of its 1.5 million customer IPTV service. Proximus TV customers need to subscribe to its international sports pay tv package.

In the Netherlands, Motorvision TV is now on Breedband Helmond.

In French-speaking Romandie, the French language feed has been introduced on Teleclub. Meanwhile, the German language edition can be seen on MySports by UPC Switzerland and the Sky Sport OTT offering in Switzerland.

Motorvision is also on the SBB and Telemach systems in Serbia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.

The channel is also available in Spain for the first time. It’s now part of the Euskaltel package in the North of the country.

Gibralter also gains Motorvision through an agreement with Gibtelecom.
