Virgin Media has topped the list as the most complained about pay-TV operator, in the quarter to June 2018.
The main complaint was Virgin’s complaints handling, followed by issues on billing, pricing and charging. Sky generated the lowest volume of complaints per 100,000 subscribers.
To account for differences in the size of providers Ofcom calculates the number of complaints received per 100,000 customers.
“Good service really matters to us and our customers. We are pleased with the improvements for our broadband and landline services, but there are still areas where we need to do better. We are working hard to put that right,” a spokesperson for Virgin told Broadband TV News, adding the company was only above the industry average for landline complaints, due to the industry average falling.
In contrast, the Liberty Global company was one of the better broadband providers in terms of receiving the fewest complaints.
Sky was again the best performer with the wooden spoon handed to TalkTalk. Faults, service and provision issues were of greatest concern.
