Streaming technologies are spreading like wildfire and we now live just a few taps away from eyewitnessing any major event from any part of the world. New audio and video services are being opened on a nearly daily basis to cover new niches and deliver more and more content.

Like any other popular technology, media processing and delivery are being actively commoditised and automated: mass-market services grab audiences and provide simple tools for ordinary people to express themselves.

Pre-recorded video is widely covered by YouTube, Vimeo and Facebook, to name just three. Live streaming was a rocket science only five years ago, but now you can run Periscope, YouTube Live, Facebook Live and others to show your event from any place real-time.

However, there are still niches that require tailor-made solutions. By this we mean the premium content and solutions created by media engineers to increase content owners’ revenue.
