The Greek public broadcaster’s MD Vassilis Costopoulos and his deputy Giorgos Thalassinos have left their posts.
According to Ekathimerini, this has come after Lefteris Kretos, the general secretary for information and communication, sought their resignations.
It adds that sources close to Kretos say there was a breakdown in communication between the government and ERT’s management.
Thalassinos, on the other hand, said there was excessive interference by unions in the broadcaster’s operation and Costopoulos referred to a “relentless war from within”.
Costopoulos had been head of ERT since August 2017.
