The Polish public broadcaster TVP has opened what is described as the most modern TV studio in Europe just days before the launch of its first English language channel.
The studio, which will be used to transit the TVP Info channel, has such features as a 22m (18m pixels), LED wall, 100-inch multimedia touchscreen and remotely controlled cameras. It will in the future also employ Augmented Reality and a Virtual Window.
Wirtualne Media estimates the total cost of the studio at around PLN16 million (€3.71 million).
It also adds that TVP is expected to launch its long-awaited English language channel this coming Sunday (November 11), the 100th anniversary of Poland’s independence. It will be promoted as Poland In: the best of Poland and distributed on the internet.
In other developments, TVP has signed a cooperation agreement with the Cuban public broadcaster ICRT.
