The Lithuanian Radio and Television Centre (Telecentras) has posted net profit of almost €1 million for the first nine months of this year.
According to the company, the figure of €977,000 was 22.6% higher than in the same period in 2017. Telecentras notes that revenues from the transmission of radio and TV programmes and access rental services decreases due to a 2.8% reduction in the volume of services sold.
On the other hand, the drop in revenue was greatly offset by the success of the company’s efforts to attract new customers and efficiently use the existing infrastructure.
In May, for instance, it introduced five Polish TV channels to South Eastern Lithuania and four months later began to distribute the Russian language channel Current Time.
Telecentras had an operating income of €15.2 million in the first nine months of this year, up 6.8% on the same period in 2017.
Its EBITDA amounted to €4.9 million (+17.5%), while the EBITDA margin was 32.3%, compared to 29.3% in 2017.
