Orange TV ended the third quarter with 921,000 subscribers in Poland, or 13% more than in the same period last year.
It also had 324,000 FTTH customers, an 84% increase on Q3 2017. Convergent services continued to grow in popularity, being chosen by 25% more customers than a year earlier.
Among home internet customers, 55% opted for the complete package of services from Orange Polska, compared to 46% in Q3 2017. Orange Polska’s revenues in Q3 amounted to PLN2,800 million (€650.3 million), down 0.5% year-on-year, while EBITDA was 7.5% up at PLN834 million.
The latter helped boost Orange Polska’s net income in Q3 to PLN125 million, compared to PLN28 million in Q3 2017.
Meanwhile, in Romania Orange Home TV had 476,000 customers in Q3 (up 29% year-on-year) and 260,000 (+67%) opted for fixed broadband services. This growth was thanks to an enriched premium offer, integrating HBO channels into the Orange Home TV satellite offer and adding more sports channels.
Orange Romania posted a turnover of €287 million in Q3 (+3.5% year-on-year), driven mostly by fixed-mobile services and data consumption.
