Netgem says the sales of its set-top boxes have been “well below” what the company was expecting for the year.
Announcing consolidated revenues of €7.9 million – down 36 per cent on Q3 2017 – the company said results were more satisfactory in markets where an OTT service had been launched.
In the UK market, the Group’s service offerings continue to diversify with the launch of new partnerships with Gibtelecom (Gibraltar) and the mobile operator Three UK.
The new generation of the service, allowing multi-screen access and Ultra High Definition content support will be launched before the end of the year.
In the light of the results, Netgem said it would “readjust’ its investments between its OTT service business, which it said had good growth prospects, and its activity of sales of set-top Boxes.
