The pan-European cultural channel Arte is launching an Italian subtitled version of the free video streaming offer.
The new service is available free vof charge via apps for smartphones, tablets and smart TVs, as well as on the Tivùon! service of Tivùsat.
Each week Arte, through its multilingual streaming service, offers 10 hours of new subtitled programmes: documentaries in the field of discoveries, surveys, society, science, culture and art
With six language versions available in English, French, German, Italian, Polish and Spanish Arte reaches 70% of all Europeans in their mother tongue. More than half of all programmes will be accessible worldwide. Subtitling in Italian, English, Polish and Spanish has been made possible thanks to an experimental project, co-financed by the European Union.
A selection of Arte programmes in Italian will also be available on the website of the Swiss Italian Radio and Television in the section rsi.ch/cultura, while Arte in Italian will host some CSR programmes.
