YouTube was unavailable to users across the globe on Wednesday morning.
Reports suggested the outage began at around 1.45GMT and lasted for at least an hour. However, some posts suggested the service was down for longer.
“Thanks for your reports about YouTube, YouTube TV and YouTube Music access issues. We’re working on resolving this and will let you know once fixed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and will keep you updated,” the Google-owned company posted on Twitter.
Users reported seeing internal server messages and an animation depicting a static [analogue] TV screen.
