The Polish broadcaster TVN has now started producing content for Discovery-owned channels in the US, according to Piotr Korycki, president of the board and executive director, TVN.
Speaking in a panel discussion at PIKE 2018, he added that it has over 20 formats which very much interest Discovery and its role will grow.
Korycki also emphasised that the company is now one of the largest producers of Polish content, making over 4,000 hours of premier hours, excluding news, a year. It is also the largest seller of Polish content in the world.
Speaking more generally, Korycki said that the merger of Discovery and Scripps operations in Poland had been achieved successfully.
The newly merged group has 26 channels in its porfolio and ones that previously competed now complement each other.
