The Serbian incumbent Telekom Srbija has acquired the Bosnian cable operator Blicnet from its Slovenian counterpart Telekom Slovenije for an undisclosed fee.
According to Capital.ba, the transaction, which has been undertaken through Telekom Srbija’s subsidiary Telekom Srpska (M-Tel), will be completed in the next two to three months.
Blicnet is based in Banja Luka and one of the leading cable operators in Bosnia & Herzegovina. It will be Telekom Srbija’s second major acquisition in the country, the company having previously declared its intention to buy the cable operator Telrad Net.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, Telekom Srbija is also planning to buy the incumbent telco in Albania.
