Vipnet rebranded A1 Croatia

October 2, 2018 09.11 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

A1 Telekom Austria has now officially rebranded its Croatian subsidiary Vipnet as A1 Croatia.

It marks the latest stage in the systematic implementation of the group’s single brand strategy, first announced on September 20 last year. Most recently, the Bulgarian subsidiary was rebranded as A1 Bulgaria on May 22. Prior to that, the A1 brand was implemented in the Slovenian market (A1 Slovenia) and at A1 Digital, as well as in the international Group brand A1 Telekom Austria Group.

Commenting on the latest landmark, Thomas Arnoldner, CEO of the A1 Telekom Austria Group, said: “A unified market presence under the A1 brand and its strong brand identity enhances our visibility as a powerful international group of companies. We are far much more than just a ‘classic’ provider of connectivity. Under the common A1 brand we want to be perceived as the preferred digitalisation partner and provider of advanced IT, IoT, cloud and content solutions. Our clear focus is on providing innovative offers, flexible services and an outstanding customer experience in all interactions.”

Alejandro Plater, COO of the A1 Telekom Austria Group, added: “The Group-wide roll-out of A1 and the consolidation of local brand landscapes is an investment in the future that offers promising potential for economies of scale and synergy effect.

“The single brand strategy is also conducive to achieving the efficiency and growth targets of the A1 Telekom Austria Group and its subsidiaries when it comes to tapping the potential and opportunities of digitalisation”.

A1 Telekom Austria Group currently has over 24 million customers in Central and Eastern Europe. It is present in Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovenia (A1), Belarus (velcom), Republic of Serbia (Vip mobile) and the Republic of Macedonia (one.Vip).
