Epic Drama debuts on Vivacom TV

October 1, 2018 08.50 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

The Viasat World channel Epic Drama has secured distribution on Bulgaria’s Vivacom TV.

As a result, the DTH and IPTV-delivered service, operated by the Bulgarian incumbent Vivacom, now offers a total of five channels from Viasat World – TV 1000, Viasat Nature, Viasat History, Viasat Explore and Epic Drama – in its line-up.

Commenting on the development, Emma Jones, VP commercial affairs at Viasat World, said: “We are delighted that Vivacom has decided to launch Epic Drama, now taking our complete flagship portfolio on its platform. We have become great partners – working closely together to bring the best of content to audiences via our expertly curated channels. Epic Drama is no exception – delivering stand-out content in an increasingly crowded environment and with a fantastic new pipeline of programming secured for the coming months, it is sure to wow Vivacom audiences.”

Kristina Tabakova, senior manager of products and services at Vivacom, added: “We welcome Epic Drama to the Vivacom family, alongside Viasat World’s other much-loved channels. It is a pleasure to work with a like-minded broadcaster which puts great focus on meeting the changing needs of the audience, serving up its package of world-class content for them to watch where, when and how they wish. After a successful decade of partnership, we look forward to what the next decade will bring as we extend our agreement to take Viasat World’s flagship portfolio.”

Epic Drama made its international debut in December 2017 and is now distributed by over 60 partner operators in 16 markets, reaching over 10 million subscribers.

Bulgaria’s Vivacom TV has over 450,000 subscribers.
