Vodafone has become the first company in Hungary to broadcast real-time online video content through a 5G test link and stream it in HD on the web.
The broadcast was undertaken at the Internet Hungary conference this Tuesday (September 25), with the connection established on the 3.5GHz band, where Vodafone Hungary is currently the only mobile operator in the country with a 5G frequency band for commercial services.
Commenting on the development, Amanda Nelson, CEO of Vodafone Hungary, said: “Today we brought the future closer. The future we call Gigabit Hungary. Vodafone will continue to make a bigger contribution to make the country into one of the five most competitive economies in the European Union, and it will continue to do so with great momentum in Hungary’s network development”.
