Roku is to introduce the Google Assistant to its streaming devices as part of a new software release.
Google Assistant devices will be able to control ‘select’ Roku streaming devices to pause and search for content and launch channels.
Roku OS 9 also brings in support for Pandora Premium. The streaming music service is available via the Pandora channel in the Roku Channel Store.
It’s anticipated that Google voice control will be introduced in the next few weeks.
