BVN, the public broadcaster for Dutch and Flemish citizens abroad, will end its broadcasts own the Astra 1L satellite at 19.2 degrees East, but will stay on the Eutelsat Hotbird at 13 degrees East.
For Europe, a part of Northern Africa and a large part of the Middle East BVN will continue to transmit via the Eutelsat Hotbird.
“We understand that your organisation needs some time to organize reception via the Hotbird satellite. For this reason BVN will be still available on both satellites until September 19, 2018,” the international broadcaster said in a statement.
After September 20, 2018 BVN will cease to be available via Astra 1L.
