Nangu.TV has unveiled a new OTT set-top box service, run on its platform in cooperation with Orange Slovensko.
Recently launched in the Slovak market, it allows Orange customers to watch Orange TV via its online service, including the new premium Orange Sport sports channels, at any location with internet access on standard TV sets.
The platform installation was extended with new components customised for local requirements of the Slovak market and infrastructure. Nangu.TV further enhanced its streaming components, which, along with previously implemented geographic redundancy with automatic data recovery, has further increased the stability of the platform and its smooth operation.
The main attractions of the upgraded platform principally include higher data streaming stability, which can be seen by viewers in continuous HD channel playback. The platform is also fully prepared for broadcasting in Ultra HD / 4K in IPTV multicast as well as OTT unicast distribution.
Commenting on the development, Karol Flak, Orange Slovensko TV unit manager. said: “Thanks to the high flexibility on both sides, the solution was implemented in a very short time period. This cooperation proves that nangu.TV has been delivering carrier-grade solutions for its customers”.
