Accedo integrates AWS MediaTailor

Accedo has announced the integration of AWS Elemental’s MediaTailor as part of its targeted advertising solutions for Augmented Reality experiences.

Powered by the Accedo One video platform, the AR experience is designed to give a TV viewer a more personalised and engaging second-screen experience during long-distance sports events such as marathons, rally, or bicycle races.

Fredrik Anderson, SVP Strategy and Solutions at Accedo, commented: “Having launched our AR prototype earlier this year, we have demonstrated the ability to deliver an extra dimension to certain types of programming. Being able to add targeted advertising with our AWS integration, will be extremely attractive to media companies, especially for live sports content which tends to attract a large audience.”

AWS Elemental MediaTailor is a cloud-based video service that lets customers insert targeted advertising into video streams without sacrificing broadcast-level quality-of-service.

Earlier this month, Accedo has announced a project with British broadcaster, ITV to use Artificial Intelligence to automatically generate cover artwork.
