The Czech company Digital Broadcasting has extended DVB-T2/HEVC transmissions to a further 15 locations.
As a result, its transitional DVB-T2/HEVC Broadcasting Network no.13 now reaches 45 locations covering almost 9.2 million TV viewers, or 88.2% of the Czech population.
The transitional DVB-T2/HEVC Broadcasting Network no.13 offers Nova, Nova Cinema, Nova Action, Nova Gold, Nova 2, Prima Comedy Central (HD), Joj family (HD), kino Svet, Relax, Rebel and the regional stations Polar (HD), TV V1 (HD) and Brno TV.
According to Radim Parizek, the executive director of Digital Broadcasting, the company is now working intensively on preparing further sites.
Digital Broadcasting has operated the Czech Republic fourth digital multiplex (Broadcasting Network no.4) since 2012. It currently reaches 95.5% of the Czech population.
