Virgin Media Sport, a new channel for subscribers in the Republic of Ireland, will launch on September 18.
It will be available to all Virgin Media TV customers at no additional cost.
The channel has secured local rights to the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League and will produce its own coverage for the Irish market.

Republic of Ireland legend Niall Quinn joins longstanding UEFA Champions League pundits Graeme Souness and Kevin Kilbane in live coverage, presented by Virgin Media Television’s Tommy Martin.
The presentation team will also include former Republic of Ireland manager Brian Kerr; former Republic of Ireland international Keith Andrews; and presenter Niamh Kinsella.
Virgin Media Sport will broadcast all UEFA Champions League matches on Tuesdays and Wednesdays along with UEFA Europa League on Thursdays. Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League matches will also be Free to Air on Virgin Media One which will also broadcast the Champions League and Europa League finals.
