Second quarter results published by the Polish company show that while the total number of contract subscribers fell by 1.6% to 5,724,492 in the year to June 30, of these 1,655,112 (+20.4%) chose multiplay.
Cyfrowy Polsat had 13,929,804 (+3.8%) contract RGUs at the end of Q2, of which 5,027,520 (+4%) were for pay-TV. Of the latter, 1,127,285 (+6.4%) were multiroom.
ARPU was PLN82.9 (€19.3), or 2.1% more than a year earlier, while churn was 0.3pp lower at 8.3%.
All told, Cyfrowy Polsat had 16,698,622 (+2.6%) contract and pre-paid RGUs at the end of Q2.
The Cyfrowy Polsat group had revenues of PLN2,603 million (+7.5%) and EBITDA of PLN946 million (+3.5%) in Q2.
Its net profit was PLN231.4 million.
