Hulu Japan will premiere the Russian zombie drama series The Day After on its SVOD platform on October 5, 2018, day-and-date with the DVD.
BS Nippon (BS Nippon Corporation, which is owned by Nippon TV and is a sister company to Hulu Japan) will begin airing the series on November 10, 2018.
To promote the launch of the series on Hulu Japan, the first episode of season 1 will air on Nippon TV (terrestrial) on October 6 as an episode of the program “Hulu Episode-1 Theater”. The show will then be available on TVer, an ADVOD platform jointly operated by top five terrestrial networks, for catch-up for one week.
“The Day After” is the first Russian drama series acquired by Hulu Japan. Hulu Japan has acquired all rights for Japan from Art Pictures in Russia and has sub-licensed it both to Fox Home Entertainment and to BS Nippon.
