German video-on-demand platform Pantaflix has acquired an entertainment package from German production group Red Arrow Studios International.
The agreement with the ProSiebenSat.1 subsidiary of which financial details have not been disclosed covers global distribution of German content.
The rights package includes, for example, over 500 hours of long-running German drama series Anna (featuring Jeannette Biedermann, Roy Peter Link), award-winning comedy drama Danni Lowinski (Annette Frier), movie mini-series Big Ben (Ottfried Fischer) and hospital drama Alpha Team (Marlies Engel, Karen Böhne).
“Our catalogue has up to 23,000 titles, Pantaflix is currently online in 45 countries and we want to be the best ‘Away from Home’ platform for people living abroad,” said Stefan Langefeld, CEO of Pantaflix AG. “The agreement with Red Arrow Studios International increases our offering of German content abroad by a four-digit amount and makes Pantaflix even more attractive for our customers.”
