A fall in demand for access network products failed to dampen a good quarter for Teleste.
The Finnish tech firm increased sales by 11% to €65.2 million.
The company says it expects sales in 2018 to top 2017’s €234.6 million, but fall short of 2016’s record levels.
“Orders received decreased year-on-year, but our order backlog is clearly higher than a year ago. This creates opportunities for growth and improvement of profitability,” said Teleste CEO Jukka Rinnevaara.
However, there are reductions on some product groups including DOCSIS 3.1 network updates. Teleste notes some operators are planning distributed access architecture solutions and as a result the inflow of orders elsewhere has slowed.
