Rosa Maria Mateo, the temporary president of the Spanish public broadcaster RTVE, has made far-reaching changes to its senior management within a few days of taking office.
El Economista reports that the first was naming Begoña Alegria as the news director of RTVE, replacing José Antonio Gundin.
This was followed by a ‘cascade’ of changes, including the appointment of Raúl Heitzmann as news director of RNE and Urbana Gil as director of culture and society at La 2.
Others saw Federico Montera Hita made corporate CEO and Fran Llorente project and strategy director of RTVE.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, Mateo will remain in post until a new board of directors is elected by competition.
