Christian Gruber will take over the duties of Patrick Fischer, chairman of the management of Sport1 Media, from September 1, 2018.
Fischer will leave the advertising sales unit of German sports broadcaster Sport1 to pursue new career challenges.
Gruber joined Sport1 Media in January this year as senior director client sales and member of the management. In this role he is already responsible for direct client business and the digital sector at the subsidiary of Constantin Medien.
Before his move to Sport1 Media, Gruber was managing director of the Layenberger Nutrition Group and director of marketing and communication at sports betting company Tipico.
The 48-year-old will report directly to Olaf Schröder, CEO of Constantin Medien.
